Post Can you sync from Snow Leopard OSX to the iPad 2?

I'm thinking about getting an ipad 2 charger to help with organization, but my Mac only has Snow Leopard. Can I still sync my ipad 2 keyboard events and music from my computer, even though the software is a little outdated? In other words, does the ipad 2 dock only work with Lion OSX? Thank you!
